A Poem Lives Forever!
Many years ago work forced me to live apart from my loved one.
Far
away
in another land across seas: "The Land Down Under",
Australia.
In those days sending flowers on special
occasions was 'OK' but it seemed far too impersonal. After all it
only took a 5-minute phone call to arrange delivery and the flowers
would wither in a few short weeks.
I wanted to show her I cared enough to make that extra effort.
I wanted
her to know I savored the wonderful times we spent together.
I wanted her to realize how much pleasure it gave me to carve our memories
into beautiful pictures that words can create.
Pictures and words that will last two lifetimes.
Gingerly, I began to write... .... ... ...
....
