The world unfolds to
share with us
Much happiness and pleasure.
And when we've grown enjoying life
We'll make the time for leisure.
The months and years
flew swiftly by
As both our lives unfolded.
Great changes came so unforeseen
To leave our fate remolded.
When I was young we
used to type
On keyboards made of steal;
But now we talk to unseen ears
And words appear - surreal.
Amidst the surging
tide of stress
We need our feelings to address.
The challenge now appears to be
To hold onto reality.
And to that end we
turn again
To truths that were not made by man.
We find such feeling deep inside
That techno-man has tried to hide.
For twenty years our
lives have veered
From feelings to the micro-switch,
Computers now invade our homes
A few rebel, but most just twitch.
It takes a loving
"Someone" else
To draw emotions slowly out.
And as we all know deep inside
Machines ignore you when you shout.
Cold iron only causes
stress,
It cannot give a gently kiss.
It never shares a kindly word
You know your pain is never heard.
But now I've found
that person who
Takes pleasure from a simple touch,
Who likes to listen to my voice.
When we're apart I miss her much.
And now at last we've
tied the knot
Forever to be together.
Two hearts are one and we both know
Our lives will be shared forever!
