All life was full of joy and hope
Within those mighty towers
The Great U.S. at peace that day
‘Til struck by Evil Powers.
The World Trade Centre stood so proud
Before the view turned sour
Its mighty structure’s grand design
Withstanding nature’s power.
Floors rising high a hundred plus
With businessmen were filled
The finest from New York worked there
By holocaust were killed.
Hijacked by gangs so cowardly
Whose abject faith was hardened
The innocent both young and old
With terror they were threatened
Taunted that they soon would die
Without a chance of freedom
Forced to tell their wives at home
They’re victims for no reason.
To kill this way it clearly shows
Their heartless actions telling
All person of a different breed
Are all in line for killing.
When soldiers die in times peace
They know what risks they’re taking
Pearl Harbor showed the price they pay
To keep us safely living.
These victims were not soldiers trained
They posed no threats or dangers
Their lives were spilled so needlessly
By evil ruthless strangers.
The hijacked planes they numbered four
With people of all races
But one small group in envy stood
Who dared not show their faces.
Disfranchised from their native homes
The land where their ‘True Faith’ reigns
Their driven by their flawed ideals
As they strike at us with planes.
With planes engorged with deadly fuel
To cross this continent vast
They target what we prize the most
Monuments we built to last.
The first plane strikes proclaiming WAR!
Its flames engulf North Tower
Terror grips those trapped inside
With black smoke adding horror.
As people start to leave their work
They rush but not in panic
But plane two hits the Southern Tower
With loss of life so tragic.
But all too soon a third plane strikes
This time a moral target
But moral only during war
In peace we won’t forgive it.
It crashes through the Pentagon
The heart of our national pride
Indifferent to its passengers
In cold-blooded homicide.
The fourth plane failed to make its kill
Brave passengers had fought back
They gave their lives courageously
To thwart the cowards attack.
But three of four a high price claimed
With weeks of turmoil bringing
To rescue those from deep inside
Will take far more than digging.
From North to South and East to West
The Nation’s now united
We will not rest until the day
This evil deed’s been righted.
So those who dared to poke the stick
To wake the sleeping giant
As we respond to their attack
Will learn we fear no tyrant.
We’ll fight to save our way of life
Life free from violation
And those who bomb AMERICA
Imperil their own Nation.
